“The university is highly ranked for my subject. It was always my desire to study at a Russell Group university, as well as to create theatre with like-minded people. I have particularly enjoyed how the department has developed my critical thinking across a range of theoretical disciplines and methods, such as historiographical research. By studying both practice and theory, we have been encouraged to expand our definitions and expectations of theatrical performance. This has allowed us to develop a knowledge base and toolkit that we can use to take control of our own creative work moving forward. The department’s unique T3 Festival provided me with the opportunity to co-edit the department’s academic journal, and to write, direct and produce my first play.”
